Community COMMITMENT
We want all our events to offer a positive, inclusive and safe environment for all attendees participants, and staff. We believe that creating opportunity for that environment to thrive leads to a stronger and more understanding community.
We are guided by a Community Commitment for all our events so we can provide the best experience possible for all attendees. Before you participate in any Iota Creative Collective sponsored event, please review the commitment that attendees, staff, and all participants agree to follow below.
Events Community Commitment
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, partners and volunteers at our events are required to adhere to the following. Iota Creative Collective staff and organizers will enforce these community expectations throughout the event.
The goal we look to achieve through our activities, business operations, and events, is to build and support community. To that end, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome to engage, express themselves, or find opportunity for growth through experience and dialogue. We invite all those who join us to help us create and maintain safe, positive event interactions for everyone.
In all we do, we are dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment. This applies to everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. Harassment of participants, in any form, will not be tolerated. Any and all who violate this policy will be removed from participation, forfeit any potential refunds, and will face full legally appropriate repercussions.
Expected Behavior
You must be 21 years of age to consume any alcoholic beverages that may be offered at our events.
Overconsumption of alcohol will be grounds for participant removal, forfeiture of any possibility of refund, and appropriate legal action.
All indoor operations are “Tobacco-Free”(Includes Vaping/e-cigarettes and smokeless)
All outdoor activities will attempt to provide designated smoking areas, but improper disposal of product refuse(butts) OR smoking in non-smoking areas will be grounds for participant removal, including vape/e-cigarettes and smokeless.
We ask for your discretion in language, speech, and action that may be viewed(intentionally or not) as disruptive/offensive to others.
Repeated disruptions will be cause for participant removal and forfeiture of any possible refund.
Be aware of surroundings and fellow participants. Alert event organizers if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Community Commitment, even if they seem inconsequential.
Be Kind.
ANY participants in violation of this Community Commitment may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at sole discretion of event organizers or staff. Participants asked to discontinue any harassing behavior, inconsiderate action, or violation of the Community Commitment are expected to comply immediately.
Iota Creative Collective Events
If attending an Iota Creative Collective event, we ask that you stay within the designated event area and do not access other facilities unaffiliated with the event. Our organizers and staff may have access to non-event spaces to implement event operations, but we ask that you maintain appropriate boundaries while you enjoy our events.
Reporting Incidents
If you witness or experience a violation of our Community Commitment, at any time during an event or in any operation, please seek out an event organizer or Iota staff member so we might resolve and prevent further issues. If you are unable to find an organizer, member of our team, or would like to report a violation after hours, you may email sam.eure@iotacreativecollective.com.
Photo/video disclaimer
At our events and through our business operations, we often have a photographer or videographer on premise. By attending, you agree to be photographed or recorded, and you agree that Iota Creative Collective will be the sole copyright owner of such media. Iota Creative Collective reserves the right to use any media taken at any event they host without the express written permission of those included within the media, and you waive any rights therein. Iota Creative Collective may use the photo or recording in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted which includes: Social Media platforms(Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat), brochures, invitations, graphics, press releases, posters, video montage, websites, etc. We will respect any individual preferences for privacy.
Speak honestly with our team if you would rather not be filmed or photographed.
